On April 6, 2021 Pan Classics will publish A joyful brotherhood, a new recording of Pablo Márquez together with fortepianist Jan Schultsz. Centered in the figures of virtuosi Mauro Giuliani, Johann Nepomuk Hummel and Ignaz Moscheles, three of the most respected musicians in Vienna in the early XIXth century, the recording explores their  wonderful corpus of pieces, a unique case of co-composition, the result of an intimate collaboration destinated to enhance their immense popularity among the Viennese audience. The utilisation of period instruments -a copy of a pianoforte of Johann Fritz from 1815, as well as an original guitar built by Anton Stauffer and a copy of a Fabbricatore terz-guitar- puts in evidence the wonderful color possibilities of this unusual instrumental combination.
